A friend showed me a very nice katana on the weekend, it was Osaka style and Kanbun period, it is signed Sagami no Kami Tamehiro. There is nothing, or next to nothing in the books we have about him. The sword has Tokubetsu Hozon papers and is really pretty nice.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on this smith ?. I can supply a copy of the oshigata if need be.

Cheers

thanks Stephen, thats the guy, we have in in Hawleys as well. We are looking for a little more background, school, sensei, family name etc, his work is very nice but may just be a small smith or a country boy will little record kept.

Thanks for that, good work.
