svarsh Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 A friend of mine in St.Petersburg has an unusual tsuba (pictured). Size 8,5 х 8,5 см, thickness at seppa dai =3 мм, mimi = 4мм. Could anyone advise regarding the school, time, etc? Quote
Marius Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 Nothing unusual about this tsuba, to be honest. Otafuku shape, tomoe, cloud, moon and sun (?) sukashi, brass fukurin. The low resolution of your picture does not allow further comments (at least I cannot see enough detail, LOL). It would also be nice to have both sides of the tsuba. Quote
Marius Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I wish I could say more :-) Can you post some higher resolutions pictures? Quote
Justin Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 It might be the photo however something about the iron doesn't look right (the colour and texture looks strange to me). Quote
svarsh Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 I am not sure I can get a better photograph. This tsuba is not in my possession. I'll try. Quote
