Viper6924 Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Hi Guys! I will be off to Poland next week. Will stay in Warsaw from thursday afternoon until sunday afternoon. Besides enjoying the local beer and tasty foods , is there any places of interest for the fan of Japanese culture? The Japanese museum in Krakow was very nice, when I was there last year. Any input on this would be great. Thanks! Jan Quote
Marius Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Jan, not much going on in Warsaw in terms of Japanese art. Three museums do have some collections (ceramics, ukiyo-e and even swords) but they are not shown to the public other than in temporary exhibitions. Pity you have posted this so late - we (the To-Ken Society members) could have organised at least a meeting with some nihonto form our collections. This is too short a notice, as most Warsaw members are on holidays (I am off, too) Do you have a plan what to see in Warsaw? Any questions - PM me, please. Quote
Viper6924 Posted July 1, 2013 Author Report Posted July 1, 2013 Hi Mariuszk! As a member of the swedish chapter of NBTHK, that would have been a treat for sure. But of course I understand that it's impossible to meet at this short notice. But having a girlfriend from Poland means I will be back soon. I will def send a PM to You in good time before my next visit. Jan Quote
