Shimazu Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Jean, I wish I could remember that when I am tempted by a new goody! :D John, Thanks, but even with your help this is eluding me. :? Quote
Marius Posted January 10, 2013 Author Report Posted January 10, 2013 Gentlemen, thank you for your valuable time and your invaluable advice :D My friend has decided to put the koshirae without the tsuba KOZUKA (of course) for sale here on the NMB. Those interested will find it in the "For Sale or Trade" section. Quote
runagmc Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Mariusz, did you mean to say the koshirae without the kozuka? In my opinion it would be ashame to split up the matching tsuba from the rest of mounts... although, it's certainly his decision to make. Quote
Marius Posted January 10, 2013 Author Report Posted January 10, 2013 Adam, the kozuka is not (and never was) part of the set. Hence, there is no breaking up of the koshirae. Quote

Marius Posted January 10, 2013 Author Report Posted January 10, 2013 Stupid me Of course the tsuba is an inseparable part of the set. I have corrected my mistake in the post... Quote
Brian Ayres Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 So, Now that this set has been sold to Mike Y is there anymore that people more learned than me cam share about this set? It was one of few sets that appealed to me enough to consider buying it. I'm a new collector and to me I feel the price sold was a great value even without the menuki. If an appropriate set couldn't be found then Ford as stated could be commissioned. In fact, that to me would be a bonus. To me the set was elegant and feminine with ornamentation that was detailed and comprehensive but the more subdued lacquer color balanced it out. Best Regards, Brian Ayres Quote
Jean Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 Brian, You must add also the kozuka to the menuki... Quote
