Pine tree sailing - Takasago no Matsu (Pine tree of Takasago) from the Noh “Takasago†Once upon a time, in olden Japan, A Shinto priest dreamed at Takasago beach. The old man said: â€I am the spirit of a Pine tree of this beach. My wife, the spirit of a Pine tree of Suminoe near Osaka is waiting for me.†So the old man rides the ship and sings; From Takasago, sailing to Suminoe! The moon shows a good tide time to sail, I will sail through Awaji Island, beyond the Naruo beach. I will arrive the beach of Suminoe!†能「高砂」ではないでしょうか? Rich Quote
