More Tadayoshi's than you can poke a stick at !!

Hi guys,

After looking at this ebay auction I have given up trying to work out which smith it is.

I would be great to hear someone elses suggestions and more importantly how you came to your decision.

After a quick look in Robertshaws the mei looks a little like the 4th or 5th Tadayoshi. Especially how the yoshi character slopes upward. It's probably gimei though.

 

Has there ever been a real Tadayoshi on ebay? :?

Saw historian sell a tanto with NBTHK papers recently but I couldnt work out which generation it was by. Other than that I cant remember seeing an authenticated (papered) one for more than 5 years.

Have seen some that could have been but not with too much cerainty.

It is most likely that any unpapered Tadayoshi on eBay will be Gimei unless it's an accident of the uninformed but that's what keeps us in the game.
