stevieb1 Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 Hi its Steveb1 I have a katana which I think is signed Geishu No Ju Fujiwara Fuyu Hiro, but I cannot seem to find any information on which Fuyuhiro this is could someone confirm my translation and tell me a little more about when it was made etc. Thanks very much Quote
george trotter Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 It's difficult to say definitely from your blurred pic, but it seems to be as you say: "Geishu ju Fujiwara Fuyuhiro". There were 9 generations of this line between 1596-1864 in Awa province, which is your line. No pics of mei that I can find but the only generation mentioned as signing with "Fujiwara" is the 3rd (1661-1675) in Hawley 1981 FUY 4. I would think that other generations probably used "Fujiwara" as well, so it could be any of them. Hope this helps, Quote
