II. It was in bad shape; included a cheap, black-painted scabbard with low-quality ashi, marked with in unreadable charcter in red paint (suggests it never left the arsenal until after the war?), with standard, middling-quality, army-style hilt furniture. Cleaned up pretty well. Cheap Chinese saya, polished sharkskin, horn fittings, with use scars. Silk sageo. Used lovingly for Sugawara Sogo Budo practice for 30 years.   5. This sword came to me in bad shape. Cleaned up pretty well. Hilt built, furnished, and silk-wrapped through Fred Lohman. Horse-themed furniture. Paul Chen guard plus Lohman horse-themed guard. Chinese saya with use scars plus replica saya fittings, not pictued, also Chinese. Used lovingly for Sugawara Sogo Budo practice. Pictures upon request, of course. Asking $1000.00 plus shipping and insurance.
