@SwordGuyJoe, i'm not that fast but i already felt a bit weird...A few days after signing up here on the board, somebody contact (at an email nobody use to contact me ) me to offer a cheap katana..hm.. It's indeed the same guy and when i mailed him back to ask for better pics he replied You can't say he's not very specific :D Thxs for the heads up ! Dave

Think i'm not the only one who received a mial here but according to the seller, although the sword is mounted as a military sword, the blade itself should date back to the 18e century. Any help is appreciated here before i make a descission The quality of the pics isn't that well.. Thxs Dave

I saw that info too so that's why i was getting confused since they guy who read the docs told me that it mentioned Kamakura Dynasty (or something similar). Anyone who can read the docs ? Thxs

I'm hanging around for quite some time here but never registered.. But i think i need some help here. I've got this tsuba in and since i can't read Japanese maybe somebody here can help me out. The guy i bought it from told me it was a kamakura tsuba from the early Edo. Yesterday i showed the documents to somebody who can read a bit Japanese and he told me that the Kamakura dynasty was indicated there. Who's right Thxs ! Dave
