Greetings I was wondering what rumours say about this type of Emuras signature. Master's work? Student’s? Any idea? All the best Pav

@Rawa check this https://www.militariazone.com/swords/Japanese-2ww-officers-army-sword/itm87292 https://www.militariazone.com/swords/Japanese-army-officers-2ww-sword/itm86029 and that https://www.antiquestobuy.co.uk/listings/katana/ Isn’t it the same piece?

Charlesf, I think its the same sword listed twice on the same website under two different prices which doesn’t bother a seller apparently. If you use google you can find exactly the same sword from that seller but on different selling platform, with asking price nearly 3k🤷🏻

here is youtube video about nice example of Emura sword released by one of UK antique dealers. Sword is sold now but maybe someone finds that video interesting

Sorry for wandering off the point but is it Emura’s signature or one of his students?

Makes sense. Thank you very much.

Actually I can feel fine convex under finger in place where it should be. Can new polish bring yokote back or if it’s gone it’s gone?
-
I’ve checked few signatures on line and early Shinto Saneyuki 1624-1644 is very close however my sword has no yokote line, not sure if it was forged this way or not. Also hamon, barely visible is more wavy than straight

Hi I would buy star stamped or old family blade with silver crest Shin Gunto 94 or 98 type. My budget is up to 1800£ however can be stretched a little bit. Condition possible the best in that money range. UK only please. Thank you All the best Pav
