  2. Whilst traveling in Japan, I got this nice edo period tsuba from a souvenir shop in Kanazawa, Japan. Not sure what type of style or what it is depicting all I know it is a openwork tsuba. Any information is appreciated
  3. Update: I have decided not to get the sword mainly due to the lack of budget.

  5. I just saw the sword in person. I agree, the pictures don't do the sword justice. I would put up pictures but they exceed the max file size for posting and I could not get a clear enough picture for the jigane

Though I maybe new to this hobby I know that this is definitely a rare and value piece in any collector's collection. I'm currently in Japan to see the sword in person but i have 2 questions. First, should I go for it? Second, how rare are awataguchi swords in the market.
  7. Hi, I recently got a new nihonto that has some rust spots and black rust on it's mune. I would like to know any recommend polisher that you would usually turn to if needed. A website link to the polisher if they have any is welcomed Thanks for any information/suggestions

  9. I'm am new to this website, recently got my first nihonto from aoi Japan. The koshirae has a kozuka with a signature so I'm curious about the maker and the age. Sorry for bad pic quality
  10. Hi, I am new to this forum and nihonto in general. I am asking some of the more experienced members about the swordsmith shimosaka as i am looking to get a sword made by him. Thanks for any information provided
