  1. lol yep thanks that's what I thought but I'm only new at this so i wanted to check with you all... Thank you
  2. opinions on this please..will add better pics when received from seller.
  3. Hi Bruce, it has a 29" blade. I was curious about the horn grip others I have seen are not, also the Mon but have since found the names associated with it.
  4. The owner knows nothing about this sword although he believes it to be from the 1600's...waiting for better pics of complete sword & saya
  5. Hi Bruce, thanks for the input. Could you point out the "W" please. Also noticed this on the saya but could be nothing.
  6. Looking at buying this and would like people's opinion on pictures supplied.. I realize you can't tell much from these photos but Will add clearer pics when the seller sends them.. brought home from New guinea after WW2.
  7. Few more pics added.. after speaking with the owner before I purchased it, it had been cleaned. He informed me his father brought it back from WW2 when he was stationed at Papua New Guinea while in the Navy. Been in his possession since his father passed over 30 years ago. None of this was in the listing guessing that due to over clean condition other potential buyers thought it dodgy & left it. It's local to my area so no postage but starting/final price was as mentioned $660 USD. It is missing 1 screw cap head? So if anyone can put me onto someone in Australia to get 1 from would be great. Thank you all for your opinions.
