    Thanks for the reply, here's the picture of the full nakago and full blade, pics aren't very good, my apologies. I was trying my luck at comparing the top kanji to a chart and all I came up with is "daijo", which I'm sure is wrong knowing my ability to read these. I'm a rank beginner at this, but it looks like osuriage and the mei added after modification.

    Hello, I'm glad I found this forum and it has been a fountain of information. I'm trying to wrap my head around this inscription which I'm thinking is gimei. Thank you for any assistance.
