Interesting Sue Seki Kaneuji on jauce.

I found an interesting sword on jauce. It is a Seki Kaneuji wakizashi(I think its a wakizashi, I'm not sure). What makes it interesting is its history as it was apparently given by Tokugawa Ieyasu himself. It includes both nbthk papers and papers supposedly from Kuki Ryuichi. According the the seller and supposedly the paper(I can't read Japanese and had to rely on google translate for the kuki ryuichi paper) the sword was initially given to Tadaoki Hosokawa by Tokugawa Ieyasu and was handed down the Hosokawa family for generations. Fair enough, I'm just going to save up for a good blade. Also do you have a link on the guy, it sounds interesting and I want to know what to look for. -

Admittedly, I am skeptical of the listing. Mostly due to the lack of papers or proof of the supposed story. I just posted it because thought the sword looked interesting. -

I like to look through yahoo auctions Japan via jauce for fun and found something interesting. The sword is a supposed masamune. It is not papered but does have a shumei, though I don't know who attributed it(I can't read Japanese). The seller claims that the current owners ancestors passed it down as a "masamune" and that it ended up overseas after ww2 going through multiple hands before ending up in the current owners hands. Now whether or not this story is true I cant say, however the sword does look nice. Its also way outside of my price range. Heres a link for anyone who might care: https://www.jauce.com/auction/b1114453731 Also heres a few pictures;

I found a sword that has caught my eye and a currently debating on whether or not I should try to bid on it. The main thing that caught my eye was the fittings, but I want some help learning about the blade itself before I bid. All I know is that it is a mumei sword with tokubestu kicho papers attributed to masamune( so in practical terms a paperless mumei blade). The main things I hope to learn are era and hopefully school of it. Here are some pictures edit: here's a link: https://www.jauce.com/auction/t1124851065

Help identifying Paper
Ilovekatana replied to Ilovekatana's topic in General Nihonto Related Discussion
Thank you for the help. -
I found a sword online with a paper type I have not seen. Cursory research into different papers from both the nthk and nbthk don't show an exact match. Does anyone know what this is

Opinion on sword?

Thank you for the tip. I think I'll wait until a papered Nanbokucho Soshu pops up at my price range. -
Sorry. I didn't know if a more dedicated discussion on the swords age should been part of that thread or a more dedicated one. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have made this thread.

I have had a goal of getting a nanbokucho soshu work if I can. Its part of the reason why age is important to me. -
It is paperless. The owner says its Sa. The seller gave no real proof other than the signature.

There a tanto that currently has my eye. I would like some help figuring out its age if possible. Here are the pictures.
