Also, I found this similar sword that sold at auction a few years ago on icollector.com. They claim it as authentic and i'm wondering who authenticates for them.

I think it's just the photo. The sword isn't an S curve. And I would be very surprised if this were a fake considering where it came from. Certainly unfortunate if it is. I did find an interesting comparison of Kanesada Meis in which this one may fit on the link below. I don't know when the Chinese began making fakes but if this were fake it would be the only one of the hundreds from a well known collection. But it is what it is and I'll rely on the experts.

Looking for help identifying this sword. I figured out it is Kanesada made but also that there are 11 generations of Kenesada. Can anyone help me with a general era or specific Kanesada? Value?
