I just purchased a new sword that comes with two old white papers. one for the sword, other for the koshirae.
Anyway, wanted to find out when the white paper for the sword was issued and person or agent it was summited by.
Thank you so much.
I'm looking for the book by Ono Yoshimitsu World of Juka Choji.
Signed version with CD translation by Mr. Paul Martin.
I stupidly sold it a awhile back and regretting it.
If anyone has this version of the book and want to part with it, please let me know.
Thank you.
ebay search ETSUMI cleaning cloth.
It's Microdear. In the same Microdear package and everything. I just got a couple in shipped from a Japanese dealer. only around $30-40.
Hi.
Maybe not the right part of the forum to post this question but...
One of my newly acquired Shinsakuto's tsuka is stuck. Not sure why. I had took apart the sword prior and fitment was perfect. very well done tsuka.
Anyway, in state of panic I order a Kozuchi from Tozando but this tool is made for shirasaya.
On one of the FB group I'm part of a gentleman posted a pic of a different tool that looks to be specifically made to loosen tsuka for swords in koshirae.
Gentleman that posted a pic of it did not know where to get one.
I was hoping if anyone here knows where to purchase such a thing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.
thank you so much.
cool. my tsuba was made by Toshi san.
thanks again everyone.
oh, and sorry for the Olympics spew. Been watching the Olympics nonstop and I'm all in the spirit... plus perhaps too much coffee...
it's the translation olympics!
gold goes to morita san, silver to nobody san!
nobody san fought hard but was just off by 1/100th of a second. but what courage he shown fighting for the gold!
:D
in all seriousness though, thank you both. guess it was #446 tsuba in the seller's inventory or something.
any idea on the mei? I know it's hard to read due to crappy pic and hammer mark/decorations around it. sorry.
Thank you.
just took delivery of a new tsuba.
it looks to have a mei on the tsuba and some kanji written in the brown paper wrapper it came in.
I don't read Japanese so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
