I just watched my copy of the Art of the Japanese Sword and thought it was excellent. I thought Paul and all the creative staff and subjects did a great job!
The only thing that could have made it better was if it were available in high-definition!
I would have liked to have posted better quality pics, but I didn't have much time to try to take the best photographs because of my work schedule. I also don't have a dedicated macro lens or close-up flash for my DSLR yet.

Thanks for the FAQ. It took me a few months of searching through the threads to get some of the information that is presented very well imho in the FAQ. I especially like the intermediate and up book recommendations. I've seen many forum members recommend buying and reading books but I was not sure which ones to consider beyond the beginner books until now.
Hello Steve,
That sounds like it will be a great trip!
I haven't been to Japan shopping for nihonto but if I were lucky enough to go I would check out Ginza Choshuya and Aoi Art. I've had very helpful, prompt, friendly email communications with the both of them. They also have some great items on their websites.

Hello all,
I would appreciate it if anyone who has any experiences with this dealer would share them in this thread. I've been thinking about purchasing some items.
Thanks in advance.
