Cheap History/culture Book Lot - Maybe Some Interest Here?

Thinning out the shelf and figured I'd give those here a shot at these before they go to eBay. Wonderful references at an easy price, only selling as a lot.

 

I figured many here have at least some interest in these sorts of things, but if not allowed please remove.

 

 

The three included in this lot are:

 

- Rodrigues the Interpreter; an Early Jesuit in Japan and China. Michael Cooper, 416 pages

 

This is a fantastic book if you aren't familiar with it. Many first hand accounts from the Momoyama period and beyond, an eye opening read no doubt.

 

 

- Legends of the Samurai. Hiraoki Sato, 432 pages

 

Kind of a misleading title and it doesn't do the book justice. Not fairy tale stories and myths, all events discussed are meticulously researched. A portrait of the evolution of the warrior over time.

 

 

- Shogun, the Life of Tokugawa Ieyasu. A.L. Sadler, 384 pages

 

Pretty self explanatory, but still a very thorough account with many gems of information.

 

 

Ive included a pic of the contents of the first two so you have a better idea of what you're getting. The Ieyasu book is pretty straight forward but I can take one of that if you'd like.

 

 

Well over a thousand pages of information, all for $50 shipped within the USA, perfect to settle into the winter with. Will send internationally but please contact me for a quote first.

 

Shogun and Legends are in mint condition, Rodrigues has some wear around the edges and a crease on the spine but binding is perfectly tight and pages are clean.
