I have a question , I have had the bore of my Tanegashima restored , and the man who has done the job told me thad the bore was made out of cast steel.

How does this ad up to what is writen on the underside of the barrel namely double wrapped ?

This would suggested thad it is made out of strips of steel and cold welded around a steel pin.
