Thought this was interesting study piece:

Unfortunately/intentionally the seller hasn't removed the tsuka, but it looks like a machine made NCO blade. Only the fuchi is changed to match the koiguchi, and the sarute has been added.

 

A funny specimen, yes no?.

it is indeed a funny specimen ... note that this supposed to be a NCO blade, aluminum handle version ...

but the tsuba dan fuchi does seems wrong, as both are not from NCO gunto ...

 

however, it has genuine gunto (not NCO gunto) saya ...

well ... I may be wrong :D

Hi i have seen another like this on ebay before and decided to buy this one because i felt it was a true battlefied fix. The seller gave it to me for 820 shipping included and im happy to ad it to my collection im going to try to take the handle of if i can and will post pictures.
