Hi/jitsu= day.....actually fairly common....

Hmm. I thought this character "日Hi" has to be always together with another e.h. 吉日lucky day.. even the distance to the gatsu character is interesting :dunno:

I agree the placement is a bit odd but that is sometimes seen...

 

Sometimes you will see 吉日 (kichi jitsu -auspicious day) and sometimes simply 日...Not all days are lucky I suppose....
