I'm restoring this sword for my customer and I wanted to see if I can find out more information about it. I tried using a translator on the Tang which gave me general results. I was hoping to find more specific information. Thank you to whoever can help!

If your restoration includes sanding or cleaning the nakago (tang), please do not do so. That at least is how it appears in the photo.

Best regards,

The customer took it apart and tried cleaning himself before I got it. The damage is done. Some of the original parts have been broken and being  replaced with modern equivalent. The original wooden handle and the cord wrap have been damaged. I believe it to be more nostalgic for the customer and value.
