Curran Posted July 19 Report Posted July 19 Hi Gents and Ladies, Slowly gearing up for the DTI and letting some of the non Higo and non Owari fun stuff go. These are all good tsuba that won't break the budget. Located in USA. I'm very good with Customs and Forms. -Curran 4 Quote
Curran Posted July 19 Author Report Posted July 19 It seems my Gold Membership has expired. I'll have to upload these one at a time. Quote
Curran Posted July 19 Author Report Posted July 19 Large Iron Satsuma is SOLD. NMB tells me my other pics are too large, so just click and expand the current photos and ask questions. Quote
Curran Posted July 19 Author Report Posted July 19 Signed tsuba. Listed Artist. "Made with Qing iron" [Iron from China. circa 1775] Quote
Curran Posted July 19 Author Report Posted July 19 (edited) Ducks on Water. $175 Most likely Umetada. Nice iron. Gold inlaid eyes. I believe this is a "Happy Marriage" possibly (Confucian?) theme, as ducks are associated with marriage in Korea and China. Edited July 19 by Curran 2 1 Quote
Marius Posted July 21 Report Posted July 21 Gentlemen, Whatever tsuba you buy from Curran, it will be top notch. I still remember a stunning Umetada, an iconic ko-katchushi and a Norisuke with iron to die for. Curran's photos do not do his tsuba justice. 3 Quote

I admit this post was tacked together last minute before a large work event. It is almost certain that I will be making a larger purchase than I normally do, so time to force myself to raise funds at least 50% from current collection. I might list some kinko items in a week or two. Ps. Yes, that little Norisuke. Major Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis . 1 Quote
Curran Posted July 23 Author Report Posted July 23 The Saotome - Myochin iron tanto tsuba is ON HOLD. 3 tsuba left. The order is always interesting. I would have thought the Tachibana Akimasa [Listed Artist] one made with imported Chinese iron would have popped off first. That one is better than the photos and would make an exceptional remount. Next week I will post more photos of any tsuba that remain. 1 Quote
