Was hoping someone coukd help with this blade. It’s straight? Almost no Sori. The seller says it is from the lake Kamakura period. I’m not certain. Nagasa is 63 cm…..so katana length? Could anyone help?

Does not look like KAMAKURA (or HEIAN, for that matter) at all to me. It is either a blade for a SHIKOMIZUE (仕込み杖), or (very likely) a MAGURO HOCHO (= long Tuna knife).

Definitely not kamakura to my eye. And the kissaki is poorly done to an extreme. I wouldnt be surprised if it was a broken blade that s been reshaped by an amateur.

Looks like it was a blade made for a cane like @ROKUJURO pointed out

Kamakura can be weird in terms of nagasa. Nothing really seen here, but it can be ko Mihara or ko Hokke interpreted by seller as "late Kamakura". Theoretically.
