Good afternoon NMB, one last piece from

my spring cleaning efforts.

Mori Kazuhiro is the son of legendary Bizen artist Mori Togaku, and his apprenticeship under his father is on full display with this piece.  A very fine and classic firing is draped over a dramatic tulip form that allows the cup to settle perfectly into the hand.  It has a solid feel but is rather light and perfectly balanced.

The areas where the ash deposits are the heaviest literally sparkle, which I haven’t seen on any other piece.  A truly special result that was blessed by the kiln gods.  I’ve tried to capture this with the interior pic, but it really needs to be appreciated in hand as you turn it in the light for the full effect.

Measures 6cm at its widest by 5.5cm tall, in perfect condition with its original signed box, cloth and paperwork.

$140 shipped to the USA, international buyers please contact me for a quote.  Please let me know of you have any questions or need additional pics.  Thanks for looking! 🙇
