cookiemonstah47 Posted December 2, 2025 Report Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) Greetings everyone, I am planning on bidding on this sword in an upcoming auction but can't seem to get clear pictures of the signature from the auction house. To me it currently looks like a Bizen blade which is my favorite school but there's no telling how it would look cleaned up. Any ideas on the signature and how do you feel about its condition? Thanks, Khalid Edited December 2, 2025 by cookiemonstah47 Quote

Grey Doffin Posted December 2, 2025 Report Posted December 2, 2025 Hi Khalid, You get a minimal description and lousy photos; what's not to love? Unless you can attend and see the swords in hand, I find it hard to believe you can't do better with a knowledgeable dealer you can trust. Grey 1 Quote
nulldevice Posted December 2, 2025 Report Posted December 2, 2025 The blade looks to be signed Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro. A Shinto smith who signed in this grass style script. He’s also a Sai-Jo Saku smith so the likelihood of gimei is very very high. Quote

cluckdaddy76 Posted December 6, 2025 Report Posted December 6, 2025 I have watched offerings from Poulin for a few years now, I would stay away based on what I have seen from their stock. I hope you passed on this one. Jason 1 Quote
