kyushukairu Posted October 25 Author Report Posted October 25 Theme: Shachi School: Jakushi (若芝) Material: Iron with gold nunome-zogan Style: suki-bori Size: 77x70 Price: £220 Notes: Shachi is a mythological creature with the head of a dragon and body of a carp, and such ornaments are used on castles and homes to protect from fire. This is a very rare subject for a Jakushi tsuba, and it the only ecxample of this theme I ahve ever seen. Quote
