Special mei on mae-kanagu.

It's been a while...

I just bought this little mae-kanagu with the 12 finely detailed animals of the zodiac.

I think the mei is 本, but I can't put a name on it, so anyone to help me?

Hello Yves, yes its 本. 

 

I don't know if it's a "mei", or if is the stamp/seal of some shop or wholeseller.

Presumably the reading is either Moto, or Hon. Both exist as family names in Japan, but they are rather unusual, so I'm guessing its the stamp of some workshop.
