Lexvdjagt Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 I am hereby offering my Ko-mihara katana from my collection. I have cherished this beautiful sword for a long time now, and I would like to sell it for someone else to study. Ko-Mihara Katana NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Period: Late Kamakura to Nanbokuchō School: Bingo Province (Mihara School) Tokubetsu Hozon Token NBTHK Specifications: Blade Length (Nagasa): 66.4 cm Curvature (Sori): 1.9 cm Moto-haba: 2.9 cm Saki-haba: 2.2 cm Nakago: Suriage (shortened), with 1 mekugi-ana Hi (Groove): Bohi Mounting: In shirasaya, with koshirae Description: This is a stunning mumei katana attributed to Ko-mihara. Please indulge yourself in the very expressive hada that is clearly visible. The Mokume and Ko-itame hada stand out near the hamachi; this blade was polished in a way that brings out the vivid hada the blade has to offer, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. The blade has been o-suriage and is mumei. It features a nice 1,9cm sori, with a very typical nanbokucho shape, a wide and sturdy blade. The sword has a suguha hamon with a typical boshi that is very visible and healthy. Overall, the blade is in very good condition, especially the ji with its beautiful jigane. The pictures below are from the dealer I bought it from; the sword is in the same exact condition as when I bought it. If any additional pictures or videos are helpful, please let me know. The koshirae is also a nice addition, but I must admit that I am not as learned on koshirae, so I will let the images speak for it. Overall this is a stunning katana from the late Kamakura to Nanbokucho period in koshirae that deserves a good place. The sale includes two sword bags. SOLD Free shipping inside EU Shipping outside EU available for a small additional cost (€20–40) Shipped with UPS Express, fully insured to full value Located in the Netherlands – pickup possible Any questions are always welcome! There will be a donation made to NMB if the blade is sold through NMB. 1 6 Quote
