ZH1980 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Hello - hoping to get some input on this tsuba's nakago-ana. Is the shape unusual? Given the standard size/shape of a typical sword's tang, this shape seems strange. Thoughts? Quote
ROKUJURO Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Zachary, there are blades with a high SHINOGI that may require this shape. As you see often, the NAKAGO-ANA can get a bit distorted after some time of use. Sometimes you even find TSUBA with a NAKAGO-ANA that follows the shape of a BOHI in the blade. 2 1 Quote
