Lareon Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 Picked up a sword at auction recently in it's shirasaya, Auction house hadn't managed to reveal the nakago as the shirisaya was stuck so was sold mumei. from the poor quality pictures online, looked to be a nice blade if a little scratched up. on picking it up and taking a look i see some nice little features that weren't apparant on purchase, (Mt fuji on the hamon) after releasing it from the shirisaya i see the signature of the osaka branch Tanba Kami Yoshimichi I don't have my DSLR with me or a setup at the moment so I've had to make do with phone pictures I know there are a lot of fakes with Yoshimichi so thought i'd let people with more knowlege than me cast an eye over it Quote
Lareon Posted May 7 Author Report Posted May 7 Very hard to get decent photos without my camera but i've tried to get some closer shots of the chiselwork and the activity in the blade, some of these are best viewed without enlarging Quote

Lareon Posted June 21 Author Report Posted June 21 Still a little unsure of this one, taken some better pictures with my DSLR, I know there are a lot of gimei of Yoshimichi, if there's anyone with a good understanding on the Osaka branch yoshimichi group comment on this? I can provide sori and measurements if that helps too. Quote
