Rawa Posted Friday at 05:52 PM Report Posted Friday at 05:52 PM "Do you know what the HS Tariff code is for Antique katanas ? It’s for customs and I have no idea where or how to find this" - seller have no idea how to ship. Anyone from Kanada and have any experience with sending antiques across the sea? Quote
Gerry Posted Friday at 09:21 PM Report Posted Friday at 09:21 PM The HTS code for antiques over 100 years is 9706. You don't need to pay US custom duties if you use this code. Quote

Oldman Posted Saturday at 06:30 AM Report Posted Saturday at 06:30 AM It appears that the query is about shipping into Canada, albeit with a somewhat different spelling - still a different country from the U.S. . Non-furniture antiques are duty free, use tariff code 9706.00.00.90, but may still incur GST. The dollar amount to avoid GST is quite low, like $40 or so, but the collection is somewhat erratic.
