Signature: Hizen (no) Kuni Masatsugu kitau kore, made by request for Minoru Tsutsui, koki ni sen roku haiku san nen ichi gatsu hi (a day 1st month 2603 years Japanese Empire = January 1943) Nagasa: 66.4 cm (Ubuha) Nakago: 21.4 cm (Ubu) Sori: 16.5 mm Moto-haba: 31.3 mm Moto-kasane: 7.8 mm (Iori-mune) Price: SOLD there are 2 small damages in the Ha, hard to see and hard to make a pictures some infos about the smith: MASATSUGU (正次), Shōwa (昭和, 1926-1989), Saga – “Hizen no Kuni Masatsugu” (肥前国正次), “Hizen no Kuni Karatsu-jū Masatsugu” (肥前国唐津住正次), real name Taguchi Kiichi (田口喜一), born July 28th 1904, he forged swords from about 1935 onwards and studied under Kurihara Akihide (栗原昭秀), he worked as rikugun-jumei-tōshō, jōko no jōi (Akihide), Second Seat at the 6th Shinsaku Nihontō Denrankai (新作日本刀展覧会, 1941) Also look on the download section, there is wonderful PDF about this smith.
