The saya is covered with silk fabric with a motif of cranes and plants embroidered with gold thread. The kojiri is iron. The kurikata and koiguchi are made of buffalo horn. The tsuba is iron with a plant motif, probably chrysanthemums. The decorations are inlaid with gold and silver. The tsuka has a moro hineri maki braid made of silk tsukaito. Samegawa with a large oyatsubu next to the knot. The fuchi and kashira are made of iron and decorated with gold and silver inlays with a karakusa and myoga motif. The copper menuki depict birds and a plant motif. The whole thing has a higo taste.
