Did Japanese manufacturers make the luxurious swords owned by Pre WW2 Chinese warlords/Beiyang army generals?

Here are some luxurious swords that were owned by either Chinese warlords or Beiyang army generals. Other Chinese swords from this period I have seen are relatively crude.
 

Do you think the Chinese custom ordered these from Japanese firms?
