Hi Colin,

i was actually in the middle of a reply to you when the defamation started rolling in.  Sorry, if you felt left out. :(  Go back and read though. Accusations went one direction. Unfortunately i had to address them. I shan’t apologize for standing up for my honor and the truth. I do agree with you however that poor restoration should be addressed in a new thread im sure that there will be many examples that surface. So duck!  And yes, i do agree that amateurs can be more capable than some claiming to be professionals. Lets make this happen!

Miura san, no need to apologise at all. No, I don’t feel left out, it was I who got hold of the wrong end of your thread and thus felt obliged to defend non-professional restorers such as my past self. I will always be on the side of honour and truth. My work was in a subject very far removed from armour so I’ll just keep out of it now🙂

All the best.  Colin.

Thank you sir. Your understanding is much appreciated. I hope we can debate further.

I was just wondering why someone who's claiming to be a Master of restoration, takes an authentic armour and completely changes it ?

Is this not a prime example of 'cultural vandalism' as discussed by the author in another post, wich is now locked?

If the armour was restored correctly it would be there for generations to enjoy.

Is this your idea of a top notch restoration?

To me it looks like a prop in a coffeeshop.
