Guest Simon R Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 Having seen the recent thread on a beautiful Omori school fuchi with typical carved, crashing waves ('WAVE SCULPTURE'), it reminded me of an item I had stashed away from 30 odd years ago. It is blatantly gimei with the signature of Omori Teruhide - despite being a completely plain copper fuchi with shakudo base. I well remember the late Victor Harris and I laughing about this and him comparing it to "finding a Van Gogh signature on a blank canvas"! It really makes you wonder what on earth the forger was thinking? (Or perhaps it's just an Edo period joke?) Quote
rematron Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 It’s the base model. Manual locks and no air conditioning. 🚙😂 1 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 I like it. Nice thick copper. A bit like a blank check/cheque, though. 1 Quote
