after seeing these spectacular photos, I would like to see it in hand! The description "Damascus steel" is of course very silly, but the dimensions speak for a very healthy blade.

Indeed spectacular pictures..Damascus steel is,I believe, the only steel category you can choose on Catawiki auction site(they don't have Tamahagane option)

I would love to see this one in my hands too but unfortunately I can't

That thing is amazing looking. The photography gives it an acid etched look though but I guess that’s just an effect?

I would agree just the look of the photographs - look at the first picture it looks fine.
