Henrik Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Hello! I only just found this very informative forum, and thought I would ask for your help translating the papers that followed a recently purchased wakizashi. The first older blade I've ever purchased, though I have a beautiful modern katana for cutting practice and Iaito for Iaido. It comes from a reputable seller, but not much was known about what the papers say. I would very mych appreciate any help you could give me regarding this, as my own attempts don't seem to make a whole lot of sense :) Kind regards, Henrik Quote

Bruce Pennington Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 What is the "March 1976" about? The date of the certification? Quote
Surfson Posted January 28, 2021 Report Posted January 28, 2021 Yes. Back in those days, it was not uncommon to put the name of the owner, which I believe you can see on the left. Quote
