I'm seeking some information / Pricing on this lacquer box please. I suspect it is about Meiji periode. Came with some Tsuba some time ago and I have no knowledge on this stuff. Thank you

Some damage, no key? I agree with Frank. Apart from any sentimental value it might have, Luis, this is not worth much on the open market.

Yesm I want to make it go away but have no clue on this stuff. I was expecting it to be worth somewhere between 40 and 120 USD ... not my cup of tea.

Because of the hinges and lock, I think this is Taisho or later and made for export (more collectible, antique, Japanese lacquer boxes don't have hinges or locks...)  Sorry to bring bad news, but I've seen things like this go for $5 - $50 over the years on ebay.  A secondhand store would probably list it around $30 - $50.  I think that you would be very fortunate to get $50 for it...
