Tengu menuki from old and damaged tsuka

Here is an interesting menuki set I found in an old damaged tsuk. They where so dirty that It was hard to see what to motifs are. But here is how they are after proper cleaning.

While researching this subject I found a book wrote only about Tengu and It's history. I think I will have to add it to my book collection:)
