DanielGJ Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 Hellow members , I need help to know, what period and province can this be? Thank you Quote
Geraint Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 Dear Daniel. This can be any period you chose and any province you wish. In this condition nobody will be able to contradict you! Seriously, if you want any sort of a guess at least give us the sizes to work with which might help get to a period. All the best. Quote
TheGermanBastard Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 Periode possibly Koto ... Province impossible to tell ... you can dimiss some schools looking at the Nankago ... The blade is in rough condition with some mistreatment on the Nankago whoch is bad as restoration of that is additional cost. You would need to get it polished and mounted into a Shirasaya ... the Koshirae is junk. I am not that positive if it is worth this road. You could have a cheap window opened to see where you are at ... the whole setup loosk not too promising to me. Quote
DanielGJ Posted April 21, 2018 Author Report Posted April 21, 2018 thanks for the information, I know that the state is not good but in Spain it is very difficult to find samurai pieces. I found this lucky, and if for nihonto this may be cheap but when it is the first one that you see and physically touch that joy, the I remember, I would like to spend $ 3000 on a nihonto, but I have family and priority expenses, greetings to all. TheGermanBastard Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 You may not find one easily in Spain I franky do not know but you can easily find a quality Nihonto at your budget within Europe - fully polished and possibly and Koshirae and / or with papers. I beg your pardon for my shameless self advrtisement but have a look at my current offerings .. also other members here have great deals in the sales section of this board. Quote
Marius Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 You have a budget, now determine what you want, and post it in the Wanted to Buy section. I am sure that if your expectations are reasonable, you will get plenty of offers. 1 Quote
Geraint Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 I think we may have misunderstood Daniel. I think he is saying that he wished he could spend 3k on a sword but he can't because of his other commitments. If that is the case then patience, my friend. They do grow up, (The family that is,) and there will be a time when you might be able to find a little more to spend on Japanese swords. My first sword was given to me when I was 16, the second didn't come along until I was 27 and the third not until I was 34. I still have them all. Enjoy looking and learning, at least with the internet you can get to look at some great stuff. When I started there was nothing except Sword and Same and a small book from the Victoria and Albert museum. All the best. 2 Quote
Marius Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 Geraint, you are right. It's called reading comprehension, something I seem to be sorely lacking. Then again, my signature says it all 1 Quote
DanielGJ Posted April 25, 2018 Author Report Posted April 25, 2018 what Geraint says is what I wanted to say, greetings to all Quote
Quote
TheGermanBastard Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 Late Muromachi at best ... and mispolished ... the Shinogi Gi is severly damaged. Also another mismatch. It is a junk piece. Quote
