Steve Waszak Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Offered here is a fine iron tsuba of a rare cupped form (perhaps inspired by European types of sword guard). The tsuba is a deceptively simply one, as upon close inspection, the fine detail work put into the surface texture become evident. The overall form, pattern imparted to the texture, and color of the iron make for a very pleasing combination. The shape of the hitsu-ana point decidedly to Higo province work. The guard is in excellent condition, with no rust/corrosion present. Size is 7.4 x 7.3 cm, and about 2.5-3.0mm in thickness at the nakago-ana. $375 plus shipping and any applicable paypal fees. Cheers, Steve
