Does anyone have an clues as the age/school etc of this koshirae set. Its quite short so presume its for a wakizashi.

Its a very nice looking piece with flower patterned Kashira and Fuchi. The tsuba seems to be water and flowers, and the menki are also flowers.

The saya is black with orange flecks.

 

Anyway, all thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I'm very new to Nihonto, (have a 1 sword collection) and cannot help with the date.

 

However I do think its very beautiful, where did you come up with it ?

Thanks Rick, i've had it some time, and cant remember what i paid for it. Though i got it from Japan.

 

Thats all i know about it, and would love to info an what people think about it.

the saya is crushed pine needles with clear laquer equivilant on top of the needles this is a very nicely done and very attractive saya, I have two very similar saya pattern
