Higo Dragon Koshirae

Dear fellow board members,

 

I would like to part with a project that I tried to complete for a couple of years now. For sale is a nice tanto koshirae which was most likely made by a Higo tsuboi artist. The koshirae comes with a complete and nicely done saya with a silver dragon kurigata. The way the dragon looks is just charming (and the reason why I bought this koshirae)! The saya has some cracks which are difficult to repair due to the unique lacquer work.

The package includes a pair of gilded seppa which may be original to the koshirae (at least I bought the koshirae with them and so did the pre-owner in Japan).

 

Total length is about 45 cm.
