Gentlemen,

     I was working on this tanto mei and came up with  Harubiye,  Mr. Stiles helped and came up with Araoke but was not sure.   Are either translations correct?

 

Also is the kozuka dated to Chookyoo?

Maybe the inscription is meant to state that it was property of the Arao 荒尾 family (http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E8%8D%92%E5%B0%BE%E6%B0%8F)?

 

I don’t see a date on the kogatana.
