Shinsaku Kogatana

These are two kogatana, made by Tengu Forge, which is the name I give to my little operation working out of my garage on weekends (https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/299987930107058/).

The blades are forged from 1095 monosteel but do have some slight alloy banding that gives somewhat of an appearance of hada.

One is larger (146 mm nagasa/225 mm overall) with a more billowing notare hamon, the shorter one (122 mm/198 mm) is a high-riding midare.  They are thin blades at just a bit over 1 mm thickness.  Both are signed "tengu saku."

As a hobbyist with a different day job, I usually work strictly on a commission basis, but these were the results of some experimentation with the form.  They are obviously not nihonto per se, but my hope is that someone with a kozuka needs a nice fresh blade.  They come completely unmounted as bare blades.

The asking price is $300 for the larger blade, $275 for the smaller one.
