Marius Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Gents, Xmas is near, and here is something that can be thought of as a nice gift A beautiful Tadamitsu tanto, 19.4 cm nagasa, 7 mm kasane, in sashikomi polish, ubu zaimei "Tadamitsu", no idea which generation, but judging by the sugata, this is a yoroi doshi from the late Muromachi period. This tanto has excellent, bright steel. It is quiet and understated, yet of high quality. The mune is tempered too, this was a tanto meant to penetrate armor. The hamon is rich in hataraki, there are kinsuji and yubashiri-like peaks, the hada is itame and there is midare utsuri. You will find a detailed description here: http://www.ksky.ne.jp/~sumie99/Tadamitsu1.html Comes in shirasaya and with full silver habaki. I find it impossible to take adequate pictures of this sword. I feel I should ask Hoanh, who has mastered this art in a remarkable short period of time I have posted some pictures to give you an idea. GUARANTEE: I grant you a 3 days inspection period, after which, if the sword fails to meet your expectations, you can send it back for a full refund. No questions asked. HOLD pending payment $1,550 incl. shipping.
