Tanasie Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 ...I have a small collection of tsuba that I've bought over the years, and any info I might of had on them is gone forever, so help me out here if you can. This is a large tsuba 3 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" high, there is no rust on the surface, there seems to be random hammer marks on the surface. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 the marks are definetely not random, they are made to depict the outline of clouds...... KM Quote
Pete Klein Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 Hi -- probably Nara School, mid to later Edo. They often used the heavier mimi such as this piece. Quote
