Robert Haynes recently looked at a photo of a fuchi/kashira that I own and said they were most likely Sendai work (copy of a Goto piece). He said the craftsman from Sendai copied lots of different schools and were quite skilled artisans in their own right. I am checking my references now for any information about the Sendai school; however I thought I might ask if anyone has already researched this topic.

:thanks:

Hi Justin,

Good question. I was looking over Robert Haynes student's website Elliott D. Long and across a intresting tsuba labeled as Sendai from Haynes collection. Here is the URL:http://www.shibuiswords.com/haynesTsu40.html.
